Happy 4th of July and “Thank You, Lord” CD Review

The Garms Family – 4th of July (2008)

Hey Y’all!

Happy 4th of July! How are you all spending your day? We are enjoying a beautiful sunshiny day at home and are thankful for electricity (we were in a power outage for about 22 hours Friday-Saturday this weekend, believe it or not; that was interesting!). We are also extremely grateful for the sacrifice of our brave soldiers (and their families) who served and are serving our country in the military, and praise the Lord for our country’s freedom.
Well, here’s a tidbit for you to enjoy: Yankeegospelgirl recently reviewed our debut project, “Thank You, Lord” on her blog, www.SouthernGospelYankee.wordpress.com! If you’d like to read her kind, insightful, and thoughtful review, click here to visit the post.
Thanks, YGG!
Blessings and Joy in the Journey!

  1. Happy 4th!

Let me start with how my other contributor, Sony, is spending her day. She is spending her day at a festival nearby put on by the Primitive Quartet. She is enjoying intermittent rainstorms and near 90-degree sunny humidity.

Meanwhile, I wasn’t exactly into the local talent that was appearing before the Primitives. So I am relaxing in a pleasant, air-conditioned apartment with the rest of Sony’s family who did not want to go to the festival!

  2. *Daniel: Sounds relaxing! Nothing beats “chillin'” in the air-conditioning! 🙂 Sony is EXTREMELY brave! Heat and storms – wow, she’s courageous. 🙂 It wasn’t too hot here in Minnesota, but the BUGS were HORRIBLE! We tried some sparklers and poppers in the evening, but the mosquitoes drove us inside! 😮

We also started a new 4th of July tradition: root beer/cream soda ice cream floats. Yum – for those who enjoy them! 🙂

*YGG: You’re welcome! Thanks for the review; again, we really enjoyed it! 🙂 Happy Belated 4th of July to you as well!
