Crunch Time: “The Right Time”

Good news! Great news! Last evening Ben and I completed the final recording required for our first Christmas CD (and our second CD, shall I say): fiddle and mandolin tracks to our arrangement of “The First Noel”.

Well, perhaps I should leave a disclaimer: the initial recording is finished, unless during the mix-down process we decide a particular note, pronunciation, etc. needs to be changed to better the project. Currently Ben is carefully analyzing the songs, messing with levels, adding compression and equalization, and is hoping to finish mixing today while I’ll be working on the cover design. We have placed ourselves into crunch time, made a deadline, and Lord-willing we’ll have the CD available by the end of this month. If you could, remember us in your prayers as we continue with the remaining crucial production of the project.
We decided on the name The Right Time for our Christmas CD, based off of a song which has received positive feedback during our concerts: “At the Right Time”. The CD will include many traditional Christmas songs, including (not in any particular order)…
  • “At the Right Time”
  • “The First Noel”
  • “Away in a Manger”
  • “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen”
  • “Dona Nobis Pacem”
  • “Silent Night”
  • “What Child Is This?”
  • “Go Tell It On the Mountain”
  • “Little Drummer Boy”
  • “Angels We Have Heard on High”
  • and also Sam and Jayme’s cute recitation of “Jesus Versus Santa Claus”
We will be posting more information and a release date soon; keep watching!
Merry Christmas! 🙂
Blessings and Joy in the Journey!
